Retiring administrator Robin Laird was honored by Perrysburg Schools at last week’s board meeting for her 20 years of service at Perrysburg Junior High School, the final 14 of which she served as assistant principal.
“We’ve been very spoiled,” said Perrysburg Junior High School principal Dale Wiltse. “Robin serves and uses her platform to be with students. She believes in children, teachers, and the community.”
At its Thursday morning meeting, the board hired Donald Christie to replace Mrs. Laird as the assistant principal. He has been serving at Oak Harbor’s middle school assistant principal for the last nine years. Superintendent Tom Hosler said there were 79 applicants, 29 currently serving as administrators, and Mr. Christie stood above the rest.
