Town Center at Levis Commons hosts Easter basket collection

TOWN CENTER AT LEVIS COMMONS

The Town Center at Levis Commons is hosting a collection drive to provide Easter baskets for local children in need.

Donations for the 5th Annual Baskets of Cheer Drive are being collected through March 25 at Books-A-Million and Max & Erma’s at outdoor shopping center off of State Route 25 near the I-475/U.S. 23 interchange in Perrysburg.

Requested items include candy, books, DVDs and small toys. The goal for this year’s drive is to assemble and deliver 50 baskets, to be given to the Cocoon Shelter and the Perrysburg Christian United

Food Pantry, both in Wood County. The Cocoon Shelter offers battered women and children a place of safety and the pantry provides free groceries twice a month to residents in need.

“Each year we are humbled by the donations we receive and grateful for the smiles we are able to put on the children’s faces,” said Casey Pogan, marketing director for Hill Partners Inc. for the Town Center at Levis Commons. “By providing these children with Easter baskets, they will have the chance to enjoy the holiday in a way that otherwise may not have been possible.”

On March 9, the Town Center will host an “Enchanted Tea for Mommy & Me” event at the Hilton Garden Inn. Guests are encouraged to bring a donation for the Baskets of Cheer Drive. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for children and free for one stuffed friend.

Following the tea party, guests can see a showing of Oz: The Great & Powerful at Rave Levis Commons. Tickets for the tea party and the movie can be purchased online at www.shopleviscommons.com or by calling 419-931-8888.
