Perrysburg to celebrate 199th anniversary of First Siege of Fort Meigs
United States and British soldiers as well as Woodland Indians will bring to life the 199th Anniversary of the First Siege of Fort Meigs Saturday and Sunday in Perrysburg.
Recreated battles, musket and artillery demonstrations, and camp life demonstrations will be available throughout the weekend recreate history. Visitors also have the option to follow the 1813 Patrol as a squad of American soldiers scout around the fort.
Festivities will begin Saturday with a parade followed by hands on activities and games. Demonstrations and recreations will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, $4 for students, and free for OHS members and children ages 5 and under.
