Children can plant, decorate flower pots for dad's day

BLADE STAFF

Gifts for fathers were to bloom in the hands of youngsters participating in a special holiday project at Lily’s at the Town Center at Levis Commons today.

Excitement is expected among the children as they complete their make-and-take projects from 10 a.m. to noon at the open air shopping center in Perrysburg, located at I-475 and State Rt. 25. The Town Center at Levis Commons features an array of stores, restaurants, and entertainment venues.

Children are to have activities including decorating and planting a flower pot, just right to take home and secret away until Sunday.

Then, with the planted pots — perhaps beribboned to add a splash of color — hidden behind their backs, the sons and daughters can walk up to their dads, smile, and say “Look what I made, just for you. Happy Father’s Day. Love you to the moon and back.”

And with that, the kids can save the new tie gift idea for another time.
