Sand castles, cabaret shows among weekend offerings
Looking for some summer fun in Perrysburg this weekend?
There’s plenty to do from checking out sand castles to cabaret shows.
Here are some of the highlights.
Running Friday through Sunday, artists will build sand sculptures at Levis Commons. The event runs noon to 8 p.m. on the first two days and then from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
“Kids will love the giant sandbox and clowns, while adults can unwind to the sounds of live music,” said Casey Pogan, marketing director,
Hill Partners, Inc.
The summer festival also features other family-friendly activities, such as face painting, sidewalk chalk artists, and inflatable toys.
St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church will present a cabaret show full of Broadway songs to celebrate Bastille Day. During the show, wine, beer,
and desserts will be available.
Tickets cost $20 per person or $35 a couple at the show, which is 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the church, 871 E. Boundary St.

In a throwback to the era of drive-in movies, Downtown Perrsyburg Inc. is hosting a family movie night Sunday.
People can bring blankets, and chairs and go to Second Street and Louisiana Ave. at 9 p.m. to watch the animated film Puss N’ Boots.
