Fort Meigs festival sports hands-on activities

A two-day festival at Fort Meigs continues Sunday, giving people a chance to learn how to shoot cannons, craft a violin, stitch leather or throw a tomahawk.

The Perrysburg historic fort was full of hands-on activities and demonstrations Saturday and Sunday as part of the “Life in Early Ohio” event.

The fort, which is a War of 1812 battlefield and a recognized site within the Ohio Historical Society, is located at 29100 W. River Rd.
