Artistic welding exhibit opens Tuesday at Owens

Steel, an exhibit of abstract and figurative welding, opens Tuesday in the Walter E. Terhune Art Gallery in the lobby of the Center for Fine and Performing Arts at Owens Community College.

More than 40 sculptures by students and alumni will be on view in the gallery and the adjacent courtyard. Teaching artistic welding is James Havens. A reception will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 21 in the gallery and the exhibit continues through Oct. 19. The college is on Oregon Road in Perrysburg Township. Information: 567-661-2721.
