Fort Meigs to host Garrison Ghost Walk

Come for a “spirited” stroll through Fort Meigs Oct. 19, 20, 26 and 27.

You and your 1812 guide will encounter the spookier side of this historic place. The whole family will enjoy hearing tales from the past by fire light, and while the ghosts may not be real, the fun certainly is.

Reservations are required and can be made by calling 419-874-4121 or 800-283-8916 during normal operating hours.

Tours start at 7 p.m. and run every fifteen minutes (until 9 p.m.) from the visitor center. Groups will accompany guides into the fort for a lantern lit tour. Guests will hear ghost stories at various stops along the way. Total touring time lasts about 90 minutes. Make sure to dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.

This is a fund-raiser event for the Fort Meigs volunteer association.

Event admission is $8 for ages 13 and above and $4 for children ages 6–12 years. This event is not recommended for children under the age of 5.
