Tours provide ghostly walks around Fort Meigs

BLADE STAFF

Garrison Ghost Walks, a guided tour of Fort Meigs by candlelight with ghost stories of strange occurrences and long-dead soldiers at the historic site, are scheduled for this weekend and next.

Tours step off every 15 minutes with the first at 7 p.m. and the final at 9 p.m. on Saturday and Oct. 26 and 27.

The last two tours of the night are reserved for visitors 18 and older, although the programming is the same.

Tours last about 90 minutes and will be held through light rain, so guests are encouraged to dress for the weather and may bring umbrellas.

Admission is $8 for 13 and older and $4 for ages 6-12. Children 5 and younger are free but the tour is not recommended for this age group.

Reservations are required; call 419-874-4121.
