Rock photographer to discuss work at Owens


Photographer Baron Wolman will speak at 7 p.m. March 21 about his work in the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts at Owens Community College. The free evening includes a live rock-and-roll performance by MAD 45, followed by a film, The History of Rock n’ Roll: Episode 6, Plugging In.

Wolman took pictures for Rolling Stone magazine in its earliest years. An exhibit of his work continues through March 28 in the Walter E. Terhune Gallery in the lobby of the center. It includes music-related artifacts and collectibles from the 1880s through the 1980s, ranging from record albums and posters to period clothing and concert tickets. Information:
