Music, beer tasting, bike ride highlight Perrysburg weekend

Downtown Perrysburg Inc.‘s two events and a bike ride from Perrysburg to Port Clinton highlight a busy weekend. 

■ BEER TASTING

A beer tasting event by Downtown Perrysburg Inc., canceled during the organization‘s Winterfest activities because of high winds, is rescheduled for Friday from 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $20 tickets and the money will be used by Downtown Perrysburg Inc. to hold its other summer events, such as First Fridays and Outdoor Movie Night. 

■ BIKE

The Reeves Northrup Memorial Bike MS: Bike to the Bay 2014 begins Saturday morning from Perrysburg High School and ends at Port Clinton High School the same day. Two-day participants will make the trip back to Perrysburg on Sunday. Late registration is $75. Rides raise money for multiple sclerosis research and services supported by the National MS Society. Different lengths of the ride are available, with transportation rides back to the high school. 

■ COMEDY

At the Funny Bone Comedy Club: Fat Fish Blue, 6140 Levis Commons Blvd., comedian Tammy Pescatelli has shows at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Friday, 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Saturday, and at 7 p.m. Sunday. The Cleveland raised comedian won Comedy Central‘‍s 2010 Stand-Up Showdown and has appeared twice as a guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno

■ MUSIC

The Late Show will play at J. Patrick's Pub at the Holiday Inn French Quarter Friday and Saturday, from 9:30 p.m to 1 a.m.

■ ROCK THE DOCKS

There will be a party on the shores of the Maumee River Saturday at the Perrysburg Boat Club as Downtown Perrysburg Inc. hosts Rock the Docks. One of two yearly events, a band rocks out next to the docks behind the Commodore Perry Statue in downtown Perrysburg. There will be food as well as music. Admission is $5 for the event, which runs from 7 p.m. to midnight. Food and drinks will be available for purchase in the event. The Bradberries will be the band taking the stage.
