Free photo session offered at Wildwood Metro Park for families battling cancer

BLADE STAFF

To mark Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September, the Elias Adin's Comforting Hearts non-profit organization in Perrysburg is hosting a free photo session at Wildwood Metro Park for families undergoing cancer treatment.

Christy Jo Guhn Photography, of Clyde, Ohio, will take photos from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday next to the Manor House at Wildwood. Sessions include a free 8x10, two 5x7, and four wallet-sized prints.

"Our mission is to bring comfort to patients and their families as they are going through this devastating time. Nothing is better than a photo that shows the love that surrounds a family who's fighting to stay together," according to a statement on the Comforting Hearts web site.

Light refreshments and cupcakes will be provided by 7 Little Cupcakes in Perrysburg.

Comforting Hearts was created in 2011 by the family of Elias Adin after he died of a brain tumor at 7 months old in 2008.
