During the Wood County Humane Society’s Mutt Strut today at the W.W. Knight Nature Preserve in Perrysburg, participants walked with or in honor of their pets to raise funds for the Wood County Humane Society, a private non-profit organization in Bowling Green.

Proceeds will fund programs such as shelter for abused and homeless animals, cruelty investigations, education, spaying and neutering, and Safe Pets, which allows women leaving domestic violence situations to place their pets in temporary care of the human society.
