Personnel committee OK's rehiring of water superintendent
After meeting in executive session for about 45 minutes Tuesday, the personnel committee of Perrysburg City Council moved much of its agenda to its next meeting.
Chairman Maria Ermie said the committee approved the rehiring of Mark Dunsmoor as the city's water superintendent, as of next Wednesday.
She also said the utility department was going to be a "guinea pig" with cross-training workers with an eye toward advancement as part of a succession planning effort in city departments.
City administrator Bridgette Kabat said the administration was examining its code regarding non-fulltime workers such as part-time, seasonal, intermittent, and temporary to clarify their definitions.
Pay raises for council members, city health insurance policies, and the training matter will be placed on the agenda for the committee's next meeting, which was rescheduled to 5 p.m. Dec. 20 to avoid meeting on Christmas Day.
