Operation Breadbasket collecting toys, food, clothing

Donations are being collected for Perrysburg Township's Operation Breadbasket distribution, which will be held Dec. 22.

Volunteers from Perrysburg Christians United gather in the front of the township offices, 26609 Lime City Rd., from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays to sort items.

Co-coordinator Annie Herman-Alrabaya said new or gently used toys are always welcome, but non-perishable food, housewares, and warm clothing such as hats, gloves, socks, and winter coats also make good gifts for a whole family during the holidays.

Items can be dropped off at the following locations through Dec. 21:

  • At the front of the township offices, 26609 Lime City Rd.
  • Frisch's Big Boy, 10705 Fremont Pike
  • Huntington Bank, 28538 Oregon Rd.
  • McDonald's, 10163 Fremont Pike
  • Perrysburg Messenger Journal, 117 E. Second St.
  • Rite Aid, 1175 Louisiana Ave.
  • Soto Signature Loft and Spa, 580 Craig Dr.
  • Walgreens, 10003 Fremont Pike

Anyone interested in volunteering or with questions can leave a message at 419-872-8859.
