Bring food, late fees waived at Way Public Library

Perrysburg's Way Public Library will forgive late return fees in exchange for canned goods during its "Food for Fines" week that starts Sunday and runs through Dec. 15.

One non-perishable food item will be good for either $1 in fines or one past-due library item.

All food will be donated to the PCU Food Pantry, a ministry of Perrysburg Christians United.

Food should be brought to the library's circulation desk for inspection. No glass jars or bottles will be accepted, nor will expired, dented, damaged, opened, or label-less containers. Home-prepared food will not be accepted.

The offer does not apply to fees for lost or damaged library materials.

The library is located at 101 E. Indiana Ave.
