ISOH/IMPACT’s Kids Against Hunger Toledo satellite program, partnering with Zion Lutheran Church and Waterville Community Church, will package 10,000 meals for the hungry today.
Beginning at 9 a.m., more than 40 volunteers from both churches are to join forces by donning aprons, hairnets and gloves to assemble the individual food components into packets of delicious, nutritious meals. This packing event is to be at Zion Lutheran Church in Waterville, from 9 a.m. to noon. It is being funded by both churches.
Kids Against Hunger Toledo is a local satellite operating under the leadership of ISOH/IMPACT, which is based in Perrysburg. The program is to meet the needs of hungry children in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.
Volunteers help package the scientifically designed, highly nutritious food which is then distributed with the assistance of local, national and international partners.
