Trustees vote to help worker pay medical bills

At the Wednesday Perrysburg Township trustee meeting, the trustees voted 3-0 to pay $273 in medical bills for an EMS worker in the fire department who was vomited on during a run.

Fire Chief Tom Brice said the department’s insurance wouldn’t pay for it because “it wasn’t in the mouth or eye.”

Personal insurance covered some of the firefighter’s bill, and the $273 from the township covered the rest.

Also, after four months as a full-time police dispatcher Barrett Dorner resigned to join the Toledo fire class, starting Tuesday. Graham Miller resigned as a volunteer firefighter after six months.
