Judy Hagen, program coordinator for the city of Perrysburg, expected about 40 to 50 volunteers at 9 a.m. Saturday morning to help clean up town.
"It is the spring cleaning for Perrysburg," Ms. Hagen said.
The group met at Three Meadows Park, where there were several projects. There was cleanup around the pond as well as some brush work as the city prepares to put in a flower garden by the shelter.

From there, the group cleaned up the entrance of Rivercrest Park and some ditches on Eckel Junction Road and Louisiana Avenue.
Ms. Hagen received a call from Ernst and Young of Toledo which said it wanted to help clean. The cleanup is part of the Great American Cleanup and Keep Perrysburg Beautiful. Gloves, trash bags, and tools were provided by the city.
"Fabulous," Ms. Hagen said about having volunteers help. She said other groups have volunteered to do cleanup in the next several days in certain parks and downtown Perrysburg areas.
