Perrysburg Township boy injured when he swerved his ATV to miss a raccoon

A Perrysburg Township boy was injured in an ATV crash when he swerved to avoid a raccoon and ran into a tree, police said Friday.

The crash occurred Thursday at about 4:47 p.m. on the 23000 block of Carter Road in Perrysburg Township.

The boy was transported to the hospital with what appeared to be a broken left arm and left leg as well as a cut over his left eye, according to to a police report.
