City administrator gets gift of drugs in the driveway

BLADE STAFF

A careless criminal’s marijuana and Oxycodone pills somehow ended up on a resident’s driveway in Perrysburg.

But it wasn’t just any average citizen’s home.

It belonged to a top Perrysburg official – city administrator John Alexander.

Mr. Alexander mused the chances were rather “limited” that the drugs would randomly land at his home.

He noticed the 0.3 grams of marijuana and two pills in a small plastic bag while he was retrieving his recycling bin Thursday.

“I thought that’s unusual,” said Mr. Alexander recalling his reaction. “I don’t have any idea where they came from. They could’ve blown there...Who knows?”

Perrysburg police confiscated the drugs and took them to the department’s property room.
