Perrysburg Township police looking for thieves from Walmart

BLADE STAFF

Perrysburg Township police are investigating a series of recent thefts from the Walmart store on Fremont Pike.

So far, no arrests have been made, police said today.

On June 12, two people walked out of the big-box retailer with three six-packs of Corona beer and a Sony Blue-Ray home theater system. The theft was only recently discovered and reported to police Monday, according to the police report released today.

Four days later, on June 16, two men walked into the Walmart together and then got their own shopping carts.

The first man left the store without paying for a home theater system. The second man’s cart contained six containers of Tide, a six-pack of Bud Light Platinum, and three six-packs of Corona beer, which he also did not pay for.

Police are also investing an attempted theft that occurred June 20.

A man and woman, whom authorities recognized in connection to another theft at the Walmart in Bowling Green, were suspiciously walking around the Perrysburg Township store. They placed electronics in their cart but eventually abandoned the merchandise and left the store empty handed.
