In what sounded more like a scene from a sitcom instead of real life, a half-naked stranger allegedly got lost and went in the wrong room Sunday at a Perrysburg hotel, a woman told police.

Cherie Judith Anderson, 41, of Minneapolis, was sleeping in her room at the Hilton Garden Inn at Levis Commons when she woke up and saw a strange man coming out of the bathroom, dressed only in a towel, according to a police report released today.

“The man apologized and said he must have the wrong room. He immediately left,” Ms. Anderson told police in the report.

Perrysburg police could not locate the partially-naked man.

Perrysburg hotel manager Izzet Sozeri said there were no signs of forced entry in the hotel room.

His staff used an electronic device and saw that no other keys – other than Ms. Anderson’s – were used to try and open the door, he said.

“In what we see on our end, basically, it appears no other key was inserted in her lock,” he said.

Ms. Anderson, who already left the hotel, did not return a message for comment this afternoon.
