Trio charged with theft from Perrysburg Twp. stores

A Fremont man and two Green Springs residents have been arrested and charged with felony theft after police found merchandise in their vehicle, authorities said today.

Perrysburg Township police received a call Sunday that store employees saw three people stuffing clothes into a shopping bag at Kohl’s, 10323 Fremont Pike, according to a police report released today.

Police, who arrested the three people, found $1,400 worth of clothes from Kohl’s as well as a new weed wacker and several items from Lowe’s with the tags still attached in the backseat of the suspects’ vehicle. There were 19 miscellaneous receipts stashed in the passenger side door pocket.

Police also discovered several pills plus four store gift cards and six store receipts in a purse belonging to Angelina Williams.

Ms. Williams, 28, of Green Springs, was charged with felony theft and drug abuse in Perrysburg Municipal Court. She is free on a $21,500 surety bond.

Robert Allen, Jr., 23, of Fremont, and Jack Williams, II, 29, of Green Springs, were both charged with felony theft. Mr. Allen was being held in the Wood County jail on a $20,000 bond. Mr. Allen posted a $20,000 bond, according to authorities.

The three suspects’ next court appearance is a preliminary hearing Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.
