Perrysburg Township levy passes for fire, emergency medical service

Voters on Tuesday approved a continuing levy for fire and emergency medical service for Perrysburg Township.

The 4-mill levy is expected to generate about $1.45 million a year, costing the owner of a $100,000 house about $120 annually.

"We are extremely happy it passed," said Shirley Haar, fiscal officer for the township.

She said the revenue from the tax means the department won't have to pull from the general fund for operations.
