Police seek applicants for citizens’ academy

Area residents who are interested in learning about the operations of the Perrysburg Township Police Department can apply to take part in the department’s Citizen’s Police Academy.

The academy is to be from April 4 through May 30, with classes from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursdays, mostly at the Perrysburg Township Police Department training room. A few classes could take place off-site.

Perrysburg Township and Perrysburg city residents will receive preference.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old. A criminal history check will be conducted on each applicant. Applications will be taken from Feb. 25 through March 1.
