Perrysburg police search for burglary suspect

BLADE STAFF

Perrysburg Police detectives are looking into a series of attempted burglaries and one successful one at Perry Lake Village apartments at 26741 Lake Vue Drive.

There were six police reports on Thursday from three attempted burglaries, one burglary with the theft valued from $50 to $200, and two attempted motorcycle thefts.

One of the motorcycles was found down the street with no damage. Another motorcycle was found to have damage to it.

Sgt. Dean Butler said police believe one suspect did these crimes, which they think are related. He assumed the suspect was checking for unlocked doors and had damaged screens on windows.

One homeowner didn't think much of the damaged screen door, thinking it might have just been children. Until he heard about the attempted thefts.

"Lock your doors and check your windows," Sergeant Butler said. "Contact the police if you notice any suspicious activity."
