Back-to-school fest at Owens

BLADE STAFF

A back-to-school celebration is taking place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at Owens Community College.

The open house aims to give students a chance to learn about the college’s clubs and organizations, get free food, and participate in activities including an obstacle course and a mechanical bull. The “Fall Fest 2 Success” is to take place in the courtyard between Health Technologies Hall and College Hall.

Also today, from 11 to 3 p.m., old electronics, such as computers, displays, printers, keyboards and mice, scanners, projectors, document cameras, speakers, storage devices, stereo equipment, cameras and camcorders, networking hardware, cell phones, cables, video game consoles, and flash drives can be dropped off for recycling in Parking Lot D through the college’s electronics recycling program. Televisions will not be accepted.
