Fort Meigs school honors veterans at a breakfast

Fort Meigs Elementary School welcomed military veterans today at a breakfast and assembly held in advance of Veterans Day.

Fourth-grade students led musical selections including the National Anthem, with Ryan Brancheau on piano; "21 Guns"; "God Bless the USA," and a medley of service songs.

Fifth-grade student Olivia Cardell was honored for her winning essay in the Perrysburg Exchange Club's patriotism contest, as well as runners-up Mia Schmittenberg, Andrew Harantha, and Drew Paule.
