Connie Christiansen, a sixth-grader at Perrysburg Jr. High, has decided to participate in this year's Northwest Ohio St. Baldrick's Foundation event, which means at 9 a.m. on December 2 at Bowling Green State University’s Student Union, she will be having her head shaved in solidarity with childhood cancer patients. This is the second time this year that Connie has participated in this event.

“I am really proud of Connie's dedication to this cause and for showing other kids that they, too, can make a difference,” said Melanie Christiansen, Connie’s mom. “She is looking forward to her fellow girl scouts and PJHS friends cheering her forward!”

St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds childhood cancer research grants. To donate to Connie’s fundraising event, please visit: www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/576070/2012.
