Penta Career Center's open house for area students is Dec. 3

Penta Career Center will host its annual Career Night on Dec. 3 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The event, at the school at 9301 Buck Rd. in Perrysburg Township, is to introduce high school freshmen, sophomores, and juniors; middle school students; and parents to the variety of career-technical training options available at Penta.

From 5 to 6 p.m. that night, several representatives from colleges and universities will be available to discuss post-secondary options for students and parents.

In addition, students interested in attending Penta during their 10th grade year are encouraged to attend a special presentation in the Susor auditorium at either 6:10 p.m. or 7 p.m. The program is designed for students who are interested in investigating career-technical fields before making decisions about their educational, career and life plans.

During Career Night, students and parents will be able to speak with Penta instructors, meet Penta alumni, and discuss career opportunities with representatives from business and industry.

Information sessions will take place at 6:30 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. in the Susor auditorium.

Potential students who are currently freshmen, sophomores or juniors in high school can register to win a $100 Best Buy gift card and 15 other gift cards. They must be present to win.

Penta offers 30 career-technical training programs for high school students during their junior and senior years of high school at the school’s main campus. In addition, Penta offers several one-year and two-year program options at satellite locations for area students.

Penta serves students in these school districts: Anthony Wayne, Benton-Carroll-Salem, Bowling Green, Eastwood, Elmwood, Genoa, Lake, Maumee, North Baltimore, Northwood, Otsego, Perrysburg, Rossford, Springfield, Swanton, and Woodmore.
