St. Rose church filled by music of Perrysburg students

The Perrysburg High School Symphony Strings and the Perrysburg Junior High  AO Orchestra presented a concert last week at St. Rose Church.

The concert featured the following selections: Music from The Royal Fireworks by Handel, Miniature Symphony by Meyer, Concertino by Del Borgo, Theme and Variations by Haydn performed by senior Kaitlynn McCamey harpist, Two Daughters by Silva, Mozartante by Swayze featuring soloists Julia Xiong, violin and Oliver Durham, cello.

Other selections included Allegro for Strings by Handel, Barcarolle Tales of Hoffman by Offenbach, Toccata by Frescobaldi, Possibilities by Balmages and America's Cup by Silva.

The Junior High AO Orchestra was under the direction of Elizabeth Cranston, Phil Smith, and Bowling Green State University student teacher Amanda Hall. Symphony Strings was conducted by Michael Smith.

The concert was made possible by music director and organist at St. Rose Charlotte Mariasy and St. Rose Church.
