About 50 drivers took tests that assessed their knowledge of rules, driving laws, and pre-trip inspections and procedures through written exams. The drivers took on the maneuverability course with the bus, making right turns, pick-up and drop-off, turn around, railroad crossings, offset driving, stop line, and depth perception tests.

Two drivers who score best for the state competition will head to the national competition.

Monday is Bus Driver Appreciation Day in Ohio.
