Penta Career Center holds GED graduation

PENTA CAREER CENTER

More than 100 adults tonight are to receive General Educational Development (GED) diplomas — equivalent to a high school degree — at Penta Career Center in Perrysburg Township.

The 6 p.m. ceremony for the Adult Basic and Literacy Education graduation, complete with cap and gowns, is in the Susor Auditorium at Penta, 9301 Buck Rd.

The GED is for adults who did not finish high school, but who studied and passed the state exam.

Honor and scholarship awards were to be given out. Corliss Hardiman, of Toledo, and Whitney Fletcher, of Toledo, were the student speakers.
