Alumni of Perrysburg High School marching band sought for Sept. 28 game

Band Alumni invited to annual PHS Marching Yellow Jackets for Alumni Night

Perrysburg High School Marching Yellow Jackets alumni are invited meet with “old” friends, dust off the instruments, and come join the marching band alumni night.

It will be Friday, Sept. 28, at a football game against Sylvania Southview High School. Rehearsal is at 4 p.m., followed by a tailgate dinner provided by the band boosters. Alumni are still invited if they cannot make the rehearsal but can make the game.

The game will also feature the Ohio State University Marching Band performing with the high school band, said Scott L. Schleuter, director of bands for Perrysburg High School.

Plans are being finalized, but the expectation is to close the halftime show with the Southview band and the Ohio State band join with the Marching Yellow Jackets for a performance of Hang on Sloopy. The Ohio State band is to perform a post-game show.
