Perrysburg Schools announces levy campaign kickoff

Perrysburg Schools will have an operating levy on the ballot Nov. 6 to replace an expiring levy, which represents 20 percent of the district’s funding.

To support this effort, Citizens for Perrysburg Schools has formed a levy campaign committee chaired by parent Donna Lowery.

“We’re so excited, after months of planning, to begin the public face of our campaign,” stated Donna Lowery. “There’s so much at stake with this levy, and it’s our job to help get the word out to the community. We’re counting on their support.”

The campaign committee includes:

Over the next several weeks, the committee will host coffees, hand out flyers at events, continue fundraising, place 1,200 small and 36 large yard signs, mail postcards, arrange letters to the editor, canvass via door-to-door and phone and greet voters at the polls on Election Day.

“We are proud to have such a great team of volunteers leading this effort for our schools and our community,” stated Thomas L. Hosler, Superintendent. “We are seeing many employees, parents and community members stepping up to help, and we will need many more to ensure this levy’s success.”
