Blood drive at Owens Community College set for Tuesday

OWENS COMMUNITY COLLEGE

A community blood drive is set for Tuesday at Owens Community College.

The drive, run by the American Red Cross, is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the college’s Student Health and Activities Center on Oregon Road in Perrysburg Township. The blood drive will be staffed by Owens surgical technology and sterile processing student classes.

Qualified donors must be at least 17 years of age and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds. In addition, individuals should feel well the day of the blood drive, be in general good health and have a picture ID (preferably a driver’s license).

Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are suggested at www.redcrosssblood.org (entering the sponsor code OWENSCCPERRYSBURG) or by calling the above number. 567-661-7206 or 1-800-GO-OWENS, Ext. 7206.

Donors will be provided snacks and drinks before and after their donation.
