Owens Community College to host preview night

More than 100 public and private colleges and universities from Ohio and nearby states will have representatives at Owens Community College, which will host a college preview night for high school students and their parents on Wednesday.

The event runs 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Student Health and Activities Center and Center for Fine and Performing Arts at the Owens campus at 30335 Oregon Rd. in Perrysburg Township.

The program is to give prospective students the opportunity to meet with representatives of multiple college and universities, and learn about financial aid, student activities, academic program offerings, athletic eligibility, accommodations for students with special needs, and more.

Representatives from local financial institutions also will be present to provide information on student loans and high school counselors will be available during the event to answer general college questions. Representatives of the various military branches will be on hand to discuss admission to military academies, the ROTC and other scholarship-related programs.

For information, call 567-661-7777 or 1-800-GO-OWENS, Ext. 7777.
