Perrysburg Township police identify shooting victim


Perrysburg Township police have identified Alec Castillo as the man who was shot Wednesday night.

Mr. Castillo, 19, was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition.

Mr. Castillo was shot about 8:10 p.m. near Gloria and Broad streets in the Perrysburg Heights neighborhood, police said. He was shot twice, according to police.

The motive was not released.

While investigating the shooting, police arrested Richard Owens. Jr., 47, and Damien Owens, 20, both of Perrysburg, and charged them with obstructing official business. Police did not say whether the pair were suspects in the shooting.
