Perrysburg police will host citizen’s academy


The Perrysburg Division of Police is accepting applications for the 2014 Perrysburg Citizen’‍s Police Academy, which will run Wednesday evenings from Sept. 10 to Oct. 29.

The free eight-week program will teach residents living and working in Perrysburg about such aspects of police work as firearms, search and seizure law, defensive tactics, and evidence collection. Students will also have the opportunity to ride with officers on patrol.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old and pass a criminal background check. Applications are due Aug. 22 and can be found at http://​​index.php/​police/​citizen-police-academy.
