Owens students show off skills at auto competition

Ford and AAA sponsored teamed up to sponsor the event which that had 10 high school teams of two students. Students were selected after 4,300 written tests were filed in. The first place team members get $3,000 in scholarship money, second place received $1,500, and third place got $1,000.

Re-enacting history at the Bicentennial Celebration of Fort Meigs battle

The bicentennial ceremony to commemorate Fort Miamis and Fort Meigs, in Maumee and Perrysburg, Ohio, respectively, happened today. Re-enactors performed a mock battle of the First Siege of 1813.

Recycling Day at the Perrysburg Twp. headquarters brings out the green in residents

Recycling day was this morning, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Perrysburg Township offices. Residents of Perrysburg, Perrysburg Township, Rossford and Middleton Township were able to drop off recycling ranging from electronics to hazardous waste to sensitive documents for shredding. Last year more than 500 people turned out to drop off their recycling.
