Blue Skies Quilting and Gifts

For two years, a Perrysburg nonprofit group Blue Skies Quilting and Gifts has made quilts for people who are suffering. The quilts are given to the homeless, a young girl who lost family members in the Lake Township tornado, and to those grieving the loss of a child. Louise Kimpel helps first-time sewing machine user Allie Bugaj, 11, of West Toledo as she sews her squares together. Kimpel is a mentor who volunteers her time to show girls how to make a quilt if they are willing to make a quilt for those in need.
