Heroes Summer Youth Camp

29 kids between the ages of eight and 17 took place in this year's three day-long Heroes Summer Youth Camp, which runs from July 31 to Aug 2. The camp allows students to meet and do some training as first responders to emergencies in medical, law enforcement and fire services. It was held at the Center for Emergency Preparedness at Owens Community College in Perrysburg.

York was one of 29 students between the ages of eight and 17 who attended in this year's Heroes Summer Youth Camp, which runs from July 31 to Aug. 2. The camp includes a number of activities to introduce students to first responders to emergencies in medical, law enforcement and fire services. York said she was particularly excited for the staged structure fire the students will be able to help fight at the conclusion of the camp.

Crowley was one of 29 area students between the ages of eight and 17 who participated in the year's Heroes Summer Youth Camp at Owens Community College. Summer camp attendees could participate in a number of actives, ranging from crafts to battling a staged structure fire.
