Perrysburg woman to celebrate 100 years

Ida Burks of Perrysburg was born Sept. 28, 1912 and will turn 100 this year. Burks is a graduate of Libbey High School in 1951. After school she went on to become a nurse with Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. Though she never had children, Burks traveled around the world and has been an active member of Grace Presbyterian Church. Included in Ida Burks' display of historical family photographs is a picture of her mother, Minnie Jane Enty Murry, taken in 1907.

Though Ida Burks never had children, she devoted herself to the care of others as a nurse with Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. She also traveled extensively around the world and has been an active member of Grace Presbyterian Church.
