Owens to offer no-cost dental hygiene care for kids

Owens Community College dental hygiene students will offer free dental care to local children as part of a national effort.

The Feb. 1 Give Kids a Smile Day, part of an American Dental Association initiative, provides free services to children ages 6 months to 18 years with limited or no dental care. Appointments will run from 8 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the college’s dental hygiene clinic in the Health Technologies Hall on the Perrysburg Township campus.

Services include oral hygiene, X-rays, fillings, and extractions through a partnership with the Toledo Dental Society. Appointments must be made in advance. Call the clinic at 567-661-7294.
