Authorities today continued to investigate an incident in which a Perrysburg man was killed when he fell off his bike and into oncoming traffic on Thursday.

Rufino Secundino, 55, of 11458 5 Point Rd., was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol's Bowling Green post. Mr. Secundino was a migrant farm worker, originally from Mexico, according to Lt. Jerrod Savidge, commander of the patrol's Bowling Green post.

The collision happened just after 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the westbound lane of Roachton Road, just west of Scheider Road. Troopers said Mr. Secundino was riding eastbound in the westbound lane when he lost control and fell off the bike and into the westbound lane, where he was struck by a vehicle driven by Nathan Kerber, 35, of Perrysburg.

Mr. Kerber was not injured in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation. The autopsy results are expected next week, according to the Wood County Coroner's Office.
