Way Public Library offers cake set, decorating classes

BLADE STAFF

Way Public Library is offering a cake-pan collection and a cake-decorating class. The collection has more than 70 pans in various shapes. The items can be loaned for two weeks.

A weekly drawing will be held through Feb. 12 for a $20 gift card and a drawing for a cake-decorating starter kit Feb. 13. Entry forms are available near the cake-pan collection on the library’s main level. Registration is open for the class led by Mary Turain, a professional cake decorator, on Feb. 13 at 2 p.m. There is a $10 fee for supplies. Participants will decorate a round cake and learn techniques such as flowers and borders.
